This year we will be welcoming Mark Richardson from Live and Learn into school to deliver PE and develop our staff expertise and confidence. He will be working with every class each week. Watch this space for more information and photographs. This term Y1 children have been learning racket skills and Foundation children have been doing S.A.Q. (Speed, Agility and Quickness). Here are some photographs of children enjoying racket skills. This Summer term the children have been working on cricket, rounders and athletics skills. Now that the weather is warmer it has been lovely for the children to be outside in a large open space to practise these skills! The children filled in a P.E. pupil questionnaire in April. They answered questions about P.E. in school and discussed what things they have improved and what they would like to improve. The collated questionnaires are attached for you to read. It is lovely to see how much the children enjoy P.E. and having the "Live and Learn" coaches in school. This half term the EYFS and Year 1 children are taking part in track and field athletics ready for our exciting Sports day on 2nd July. The Year 2 children are taking part in Boxercise and as Sports day becomes closer they will also be working on track and field athletics. In the EYFS outside area the children have explored making their own obstacle courses using a variety of equipment and using their gross motor skills to ride the bikes and scooters.
